Elaine Downs has developed the reputation as one of the UK’s leading authorities in animal healing and communication.
Her expertise has been featured across a number of high profile mediums since 2006 including appearances on BBC 2’s ‘Pets Are People’, interviews on Steve Wright’s hugely popular BBC Radio 2 afternoon show and on BBC 5 Live, plus articles in The Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Dogs Monthly, Fate and Fortune and Pet Gazette magazines.
She formed her company “Animal Matters” with business and life partner Sue Reid in 2005. They have helped very many people understand their animals better; resolve relationship and behaviour problems; and achieve physical healing and spiritual growth in their own lives as well!
Elaine’s animal healing journey began via a communication years ago with one of her dogs (at a time when her career was specializing in law!). Since that day, she has embraced her animal communication gift and is now also a Reiki Master, Crystal Healer, Emotional Freedom Techniques and Emotrance Practitioner and a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner.
Having all of these abilities at her disposal, Elaine’s approach is a truly special one that, not only helps you to understand and connect to the animals you love, but also helps you to free mental, physical, emotional and spiritual issues for yourself and your animals.
Elaine’s passion is dog behaviour and training from the dog’s perspective, using her unique combination of non confrontational methods and natural therapies to achieve results.
Elaine discovered the wonders of Bodytalk in 2010 from her American life coach who was already a practitioner and had found it transformational. She knew immediately that she wanted to learn this therapy, so booked on the Foundation Practitioner Levels Training straight away.
After much study, attending various Bodytalk Modules, and practice, Elaine became a fully qualified Bodytalk Practitioner for People and Animals in 2012 and will be speaking on this at the conference. This will be an interactive presentation as she will also be presenting with a 'live' surrogate demonstration with a dog and handler on the Cortices Technique.
Since then she has given countless Bodytalk sessions to people and animals on a regular basis with great results.
Elaine and Sue are the joint authors of an E-Book entitled “How To Truly Understand Your Pet”. They have also produced a 2 CD set entitled “Barking Up The Wrong Tree – 7 Common Misunderstandings People Have About Dogs, And How You Can Get It Right For Your Dog”
